Ona Sue Cole, daughter of the late Delmar and Myrtle Edwards, was born March 30, 1940, and departed this life on August 3, 2021. She had attained the age of 81. Ona Sue was born and raised in Piggott, Arkansas, and was united in marriage to Jack R. Cole on July 5, 1959. Ona Sue served General Baptist Healthcare Ministries for 35 years until her retirement in 2012. She was of the General Baptist faith. Some of her greatest joys in life were traveling, flower gardening, and family gatherings. She is survived by her childhood sweetheart and husband of 62 years, Jack Cole of Piggott, Arkansas; son, Scott Cole and wife Tracy of Piggott, Arkansas; grandchildren, Tara Militoni and husband Matt of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, Scottie Cole and wife Kaylee of Piggott, Arkansas, Clayton Cole of Piggott, Arkansas; and seven beloved great-grandchildren, Kyla, MJ, Kaidyn, Blakely, Mils, Kodi, and Ivoni; and many family and friends that will mourn her passing. In addition to her parents, Ona Sue was preceded in death by her brother, Pharis Edwards. Visitation will be held Friday, August 6, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with funeral service following at 1:00 p.m. at Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, Arkansas, with Dr, Jimmy Millikin officiating. Burial will follow at Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Scottie Cole, Clayton Cole, Matthew Militoni, Phillip Edwards, Brett Millikin, Gaylon Cole, and Jim King. Honorary pallbearers are David Brown, Lance Cole, and Randall Baker. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements.
