Peggy Ann Bunton, 71, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away May 31, 2021, at Piggott General Baptist Nursing Home in Piggott, Arkansas. She was born on June 12, 1949, in Beaufort, South Carolina, and was the daughter of Hal and Elise (Harter) Bunton. Peggy was united in marriage to Al Mumford in 1986, and he preceded her in death in 2006. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Hal and Elise Bunton and her son, Douglas Ugene Guest. Survivors include her son, James Hal Hammond Guest and partner Angie Deaton of Pollard, Arkansas; daughters, Connie Benita Darlene Guest of Denver, North Carolina and Ruby Guest and partner Lee Hutchinson of Winthrop, Maine; grandchildren, Joshua Winchester, Andrew Deaton, Kayla Winchester, Scottie Barber, R.J. Morgan, and Catelin Moore; great-grandchildren, Katie Lord, Jessalyn Deaton, Caiden Deaton, Connor Lord, Dean Winchester, Corey Lord, Maggie Barber, and Elise Winchester; sister, Linda I. Bunton of Iron Station, North Carolina; brothers, Albert Hal Bunton, Jr. of Lincolnton, North Carolina and Andrew Martin Bunton of Lincolnton, North Carolina; and many other relatives and friends. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the cremation arrangements.
