Pharis A. Gordon, 81, of Duncanville, Texas, died on November 27, 2009 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born on June 5, 1928 at Piggott, Arkansas, a son of the late Oscar and Minnie Gordon. He was raised and educated at Piggott. He served in the U. S. Navy for five years. He had lived in Duncanville, Texas for over 30 years and was retired from Vought Aircraft where he worked as a sheet metal worker. He was preceded in death by his brothers Marshel Gordon, Delbert Gordon, Eldridge Gordon, and sisters Mamie Glover, Myrl Gordon and Leatrice Newman. Graveside services will be held in Piggott Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. on December 3, 2009, with John Sandine officiating. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements.
