Phillip Orey, 71, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away March 14, 2019, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
He was born on October 29, 1946, in Memphis, Tennessee, and was the son of James and Naomi (Irwin) Orey.
Phillip was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Orey; father, James Carl Orey and mother, Naomi Irwin Orey.
He was a retired truck driver and recently worked part-time for Helena in Piggott, Arkansas. He farmed in Pollard, Arkansas.
Survivors include his daughter, Kristy Shelton and husband Thomas of Pocahontas, Arkansas; grandson, Spencer Wilson and fiancée Kaytlyn Adams; granddaughter, Jamie Wilson; brother, James Orey of Arizona; nephews, Jim Orey, Michael Orey, and Nicholas Orey; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, March 17, 2019, at 3:00 pm at the Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Arkansas, with Bro. Rondal Richardson officiating. Burial is in Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Spencer Wilson, Michael Orey, Nicholas Orey, John Midkiff, J.C. Helms, Randy Low, and Casey Tharp. John Brawner will serve as an honorary pallbearer. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Sunday from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at the funeral home in Piggott, Arkansas.
