Phyllis Ann Slaton, 70, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away March 1, 2018, at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Piggott, Arkansas. She was born on August 20, 1947, in Nimmons, Arkansas, and was the daughter of the late George R. and Mary Lou Stanley Slaton. She loved Elvis Presley and enjoyed getting dressed up to get her picture taken. Phyllis is survived by her siblings: Zola Josephine White of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Wesley Thomas Slaton of Piggott, Arkansas, Barbara Foltz and husband Gary of Burton, Michigan, Merkey Snyder and husband Sam of Piggott, Arkansas, and Nila Slaton of Piggott, Arkansas, two nieces: Stefanie Horning and Casey Broecker and many nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, March 4, 2018, at 3:00 p.m. in the Hoggard & Sons Chapel with Jerry Morgan officiating. Pallbearers will be Robby Taylor, Steven Slaton, Brian Snyder, Sam Snyder, James Howell and Scott Sims. Honorary Pallbearers will be Forrest Mitchell Taylor, David Taylor, Greg Taylor, Kurt Slaton and Damon Foltz. Burial is in Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Arkansas. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Saturday at 6:00 p.m.
