Ralph Clifton of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away from this life May 12, 2023, at the Arkansas Continued Care facility in Jonesboro, Arkansas, at the age of 80.

He was born on May 20, 1942, in Knobel, Arkansas, and was the son of the late Ira and Gertrude (Banks) Clifton.

Ralph relished life and love being around people. He loved visiting with family and friends. In 1980, Ralph was united in marriage to Etta Kay Jordan. Working as an aeronautical engineer allowed the couple to travel extensively in the United States from one coast to the other. After retiring, Ralph made Arkansas his permanent home. He stayed busy. Ralph devoted his retirement years to catching up on some of his favorite hobbies; cars, tinkering in his shop, and flying airplanes. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Frank Miller and Alan Clifton.

Ralph is survived by his wife Etta Kay; daughters, Shaundra (Raleigh) Sifford of Florissant, Missouri, and Amanda Case of Ballwin, Missouri; grandchildren: Ross (Nicole) Sifford, Matthew Sifford, Mallory Sifford, and Jacob Case; one great-grandchild, Jax Sifford; brothers, Freddie (Shirley) Clifton of Rector, Arkansas Ron (Pat) Clifton of Hartville, Missouri sister, Carol (Joe) Horton of Marmaduke, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Shirley Clifton of Corning, Arkansas; special friends, Warren and Belinda Matheney, Latraca Lowe, Christie Risinger, Holly Kirk, and Barbara Simpson; along with a host of family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 11:30 a.m. at the Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, Arkansas, with Heather Clifton officiating and George Bearden assisting. A private burial at Piggott Cemetery at a later time.Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
