Richard Pounds, 71, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away May 13, 2021, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
He was born on April 19, 1950, in Piggott, Arkansas, and was the son of R.C. and Fayeon (Hill) Pounds.
He was preceded in death by his son, Ryan Pounds; father, R.C. Pounds; and sister, Shelia Kay Pounds.
Rick loved to ride horses. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, and driving the back roads. He especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports.
Survivors include his mother, Fayeon Pounds of Piggott, Arkansas; daughter, Nikki Skelton and husband Mack of Jonesboro, Arkansas; son, Matthew Pounds of Campbell, Missouri; grandchildren: Julia, Sydney, Magan, Conner, Alexis, and Bricen; great-granddaughter, Ryan; sister, Tami Shaw and husband Jim of Pollard, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 21, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Piggott, Arkansas, with Bro. Gary Hancock officiating. A private burial will held at New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, Arkansas. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church.
