Robert (Bob) David Harrison of rural Pollard, Arkansas, formerly of Clarkton, Missouri departed this life on June 5, 2017, in Pollard, Arkansas.
Bob was the son of the late Walter and Lena Mae Ray Harrison. He was born on July 18, 1926, at the Little Walnut Community near Gideon, Missouri.
He was united in marriage to Lois Gwein Green on November 23, 1950, at Piggott, Arkansas. One son, David, was born to this union.
Bob served in the United States Army and the United States Air Force and was a veteran of WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. He was a life member of the Disable Veteran of America.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters, four brothers, and two infant siblings.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Harrison of Pollard, Arkansas; son, David Harrison and wife Pam of Pollard, Arkansas; three grandchildren: Brad Owings and wife Holly of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Marsha Watkins and husband Vince of Columbia, Missouri, Kelly Pierce and husband Mike of Pryor, Oklahoma; six great-grandchildren: Nate, Grace, Gabe, Rylynn, Garrison, and Glori-Mei; sister, Eva Mae Jordan of Texas; many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. in the Hoggard & Sons Chapel with Bro. Loy Culver and Bro. Matthew Collier officiating. Burial is in Gravel Hill Cemetery in St. Francis, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Steve Baker, Zack Baker, Wayne Hendley, Mike Pierce, Nate Pierce, and Gabe Owings. Honorary pallbearers are Brad Owings, Vince Watkins, John Dover, Carl Neldon, and Ralph Vandiver. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until service time.
