Robert Fletcher Leird, 92, of Malden, Missouri, passed away July 29, 2021 at the Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Arkansas. He was born on October 5, 1928, near Leachville, Arkansas. He was united in marriage to Geneva Leird on July 19, 1952. He was a long-time member of the Southern Baptist faith. His favorite pastimes were fishing, hunting and he enjoyed the company of his great-great grandchildren the most. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva; his parents; and his son, Dewayne. He is survived by his granddaughter, Tracey Murphy; two great-grandchildren: Rushaye Halford, her husband, Andrew, and Cole Johnson; and his greatest blessings, his four great-great-grandchildren: Kipton Halford, Charli Halford, Elliot Halford, and Maxon Halford and a host of other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held Friday, August 6, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. at Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Blagg officiating. Burial will follow in Rogers Cemetery near Crockett, Arkansas. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of the cremation arrangements.
