Obituary

Ruby Carlene Iberg, 92, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away May 16, 2026, at St. Bernard's Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born on August 20, 1933, in Greenway, Arkansas, and was the daughter of the late Carl and Flora Milde. Carlene was a homemaker, avid bowler, and parent volunteer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Iberg; their son, Kenneth Iberg; her brothers, Donald Milde and Dale Milde; sister-in-law, Bobbie Milde; sister, Mary Loveless; and Mary's husband, James Loveless. Carlene and Willard enjoyed volunteering at the Piggott nursing home for over 20 years. In 2011, Carlene was awarded the State of Arkansas Volunteer of the Year. They both enjoyed working the Piggott Fourth of July and Greenway picnics. Survivors of Will and Carlene Iberg include their children, Marsha Bell and husband Colin of Piggott, Arkansas, Catherine Matyas and partner Clyde Standridge of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Gene Iberg and wife Glenda of St. Louis, Missouri, and daughter-in-law, Mary Herder Iberg of Collierville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Wendy Rauf and her daughter Ezzah of Broomfield, Colorado, Christopher Matyas and wife Hannah of St. Louis, Missouri, and their children, Haley and her partner Trey Curry, Taylor, and London Rose, Adrianne Iberg Yount and husband Justin of Apopka, Florida, and their children, Grayson and Addison, Alex Iberg and wife Karson of Memphis, Tennessee, Courtney Iberg of St. Louis, Missouri, and Elliott Iberg of South Carolina;She is survived by by her sister Gwenda Hatcher, her daughter Kelly of Powder, Ga. David Milde and his wife Ruthie, their children William and Tommy of Marrietta, Ga. Barbara Marks and her Children Tracy, Ricky, Eddie, Joe, and Jeff. Brenda Tippitt, her son Philip and her husband Richard. Linda Gearhart, her children Joey and Johnny and husband Jimmy; and friends, including Jerris Burdin and Sharon Tilman. A graveside service is scheduled for Saturday, May 23, at 1:00 p.m. at Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Children's Home, 5515 Walcott Road, Paragould, AR 72450.
