Scottie Lee Dunlap, 37, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away August 21, 2015, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
He was born on October 31, 1977, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and was the son of Gaylon and Joanie Grimes Dunlap.
He was united in marriage to Michelle Pool Lipsey on September 30, 2006. She preceded him in death on June 28, 2011.
He was also preceded in death by his father, Gaylon Dunlap; and maternal grandparents: Johnnie and Evelyn Grimes; paternal grandparents, Clifford and Kate Dunlap.
Scottie enjoyed fishing and playing softball.
He is survived by his mother, Joanie Dunlap of Piggott, Arkansas; two sisters, Kim Grimes of Piggott, Arkansas, and Rhonda Dunlap Lockwood of Mountain Home, Arkansas; stepchildren: Nathan Lipsey, Danielle Lipsey, and Andrea Lipsey; niece, Chelsey Grimes of Blytheville, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 24, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. in the Hoggard & Sons Chapel with Gary Hancock officiating and Trent Grimes assisting. Burial is in Gravel Hill Cemetery in St. Francis, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Scott Hickson, Tommy Krause, Chad Speer, Travis Grimes, Michael Hoggard, Tim Blascoe, Trent Grimes, and Derek McGuire. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday.
