Stella Mae Whaley, 95, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2020, at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Piggott, Arkansas.
She was born on April 2, 1925, in Carryville, Arkansas, and was the daughter of the late Walter and Madeline (Trout) Riddle.
Stella was united in marriage to James Willard Whaley on February 15, 1946.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Joey Riddle.
Stella was a longtime member of First General Baptist Church in Piggott, Arkansas. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and cooking.
Survivors include her husband, James Willard Whaley of Piggott, Arkansas; son, Vance Whaley and wife Debra of Piggott, Arkansas; granddaughter, Michelle McKinnie and husband Jerry of Piggott, Arkansas; grandson, Barry Whaley of Piggott, Arkansas; great-grandchildren, Wil Whaley, Nicholas McKinnie, and Brady Whaley all of Piggott, Arkansas, Cody McKinnie of Blytheville, Arkansas, Jerad McKinnie and wife Megan of Fort Worth, Texas, Cory Robertson of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Kelli Carroll and husband Tony of North Little Rock, Arkansas; great-great grandchildren, Carson McKinnie, Hera Whaley, Rhett McKinnie, Cotton Carroll, and RiverRay Carroll; brother, Eddie Riddle of Forrest Lakes, Arizona; sisters, Sue Sears of Belzoni, Mississippi, and Ann Luther of Cordova, Tennessee; and many other relatives and friends.
Graveside service will be held Saturday, April 11, 2020, at 1:00 pm at the Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Arkansas, with Bro. Chris Brantley officiating. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements.
