Stephen Lester Beaver, 66, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away September 23, 2021, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born on August 30, 1955, in the hills outside of Rector, Arkansas, and was the son of the late Lester and Mildred (Bell) Beaver. Steve was united in marriage to Karen Long on October 25, 1976. He was preceded in death by his father, Lester Beaver; mother, Mildred Beaver; wife, Karen Oline Beaver; brother, Jimmy Beaver; and two sisters, Hope Nelson and Carol Higgins. Steve was a small engine mechanic who could fix almost anything. He also enjoyed woodworking. Steve is survived by his son, Steven Long and wife Shaunda of Piggott, Arkansas; daughter, Samantha Beaver of Piggott, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Ethan Lucas of Paragould, Arkansas, Christopher Wallace of Piggott, Arkansas, Alyssa Smith and husband Ethan of Paragould, Arkansas; brother, Linn Beaver and wife Yvonne of Carryville, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, September 26, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, Arkansas, with Vance Turner officiating. Burial is in Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Arkansas. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Saturday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
