Steven Michael Gummalauski, 50, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away June 1, 2024, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

He was born on August 1, 1973, in Harvey, Illinois, and was the son of the late Ronald and Marilyn (Manuel) Gummalauski.

Steven was an avid Cubs and Bears fan. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed working in his garden and fishing. He loved food. His homemade pasta was enjoyed by his family and friends. Being a grandpa was something Steve cherished. His grandchildren were his life. He was loved a lot by his family and friends.

Steven is survived by his three sons, Anthony Gummalauski, Wil Whaley, and Brady Whaley; sister, Lisa Corriveau of Milford, Illinois; brother, Richard (Christi) Gummalauski; granddaughter, Hera Whaley; grandson, Michael Gummalauski; and cousin, Jessica Leach; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation is Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. in Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas. Steven will be laid to rest with military honors at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements.
