Terry McLeskey, 78, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away September 3, 2020, at his home.
He was born on November 1, 1941, in Pollard, Arkansas, and was the son of Louis Clifford and Charlotte (Davis) McLeskey.
Terry was united in marriage to JoAnn Cooper on July 1, 1961.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Craig McLeskey and Sonny McLeskey; mother-in-law, Goldie Conyers Cooper; father-in-law, Elmer Cooper; brother-in-law, Eb Mallard; sister-in-law, Sondra Brown; and paternal grandparents, Lewis and Kate McLeskey.
Terry was a longtime member of New Hope Baptist Church in Pollard, Arkansas. He was also a Mason and was a member of Eastern Star Lodge #207 in St. Francis. Terry loved camping, golfing, and fishing. He especially enjoyed listening to country music and loved traveling to Nashville and Branson to enjoy the shows.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, JoAnn McLeskey of Piggott, Arkansas; son, Terry Shane McLeskey of Piggott, Arkansas; grandson, Max Diekemper of St. Louis, Missouri; sisters, Judy Mallard of Piggott, Arkansas, Mary (Joel) Crossfield of Brandon, Florida, and Susan Helms of Piggott, Arkansas; brother-in-law, Jackie Cooper and wife Geralyn of Pollard, Arkansas; brother-in-law, Donnie Cooper and wife Nell of Pollard, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Sunday, September 6, 2020, beginning at 2:00 p.m. with a Masonic service at 3:00 p.m. and funeral service immediately following at the Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas, with Bro. Matthew Collier officiating and Bro. Loy Culver assisting. Burial is in New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Mike Akers, Dave Harrison, Wayne Hendley, Bo Beckett, Steven Baker, and Mark Morgan. Honorary pallbearers will be Jackie Cooper, Donnie Cooper, Randy Jackson, Chris Jackson, Joe Crossfield, Daniel Cooper, Jeff Andrews, Gary Dunlap, Gary O'Dell, J.C. Helms, Jerry Howell, Johnny Howell, Gary Howell, John Dover, Gary Conley, Bud Baxter, Greg Mallard, Lavell Sharp, Ronnie Neeley, Spencer Permenter, and John Brawner. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements.
