Thelma May Johnson, 83, of Magnolia, Arkansas, formerly of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away January 21, 2021, at The Springs of Magnolia Assisted Living Center in Magnolia, Arkansas. She was born on December 21, 1937, in Pollard, Arkansas, and was the daughter of the late Homer and Dora (McKenney) Causey. Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Johnson; daughter, Connie Johnson; brothers, Gaylon Causey and Donald Causey. Survivors include her sons, Russell Johnson and wife Martha of Magnolia, Arkansas, and Chris Johnson and wife Rita of Arizona; grandchildren, Julie Chacon, Jana Reyes, Lauren Johnson, Gary Duft, Jr., Kayla Johnson, Ricky Finley, Andrew Johnson, Luke Johnson and Erica Johnson; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; brothers, Delmar Causey, Bob Causey, Jerry Causey, and Ira Causey; sisters, Martha Thompson and Mary Kay Johnson; and many other relatives and friends. Thelma loved taking care of people. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, January 24, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas, with Tony Wood officiating. Burial is in Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Arkansas. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Sunday from 1:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home.
