Tommy Russell Boyd, 76, of Kennett, Missouri, passed away October 30, 2019. He was born on September 4, 1943, in Kennett, Missouri, and was the son of Hurdis "Hurdie" Emerson and Mary Edna Pauline (Parrent) Boyd. Tommy was united in marriage to Sandra Gayle Hoover on December 22, 1977. He was preceded in death by his father, Hurdie Emerson Boyd; mother, Mary Edna Pauline Boyd; and his wife, Sandra Gayle Boyd. Tommy was founder of Boyd Funeral Home in Malden, Missouri and Kennett, Missouri, where he worked as a Funeral Director and Embalmer. He was member of the Masonic Lodge # 68 and was a 32 degree Mason. He also was a member of Scottish Rite, York Rite, Shriners, and the Lions Club. Survivors include his cousins, Bruce Boyd and Bill Boyd; and second cousins, Ronnie Merguie and Sandra Thorn Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 5, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas, with Dave King officiating. A private burial will be held at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett, Missouri. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Tuesday from 1:00 pm until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
