Vicky L. Meade, 67, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018, at the Rector Nursing Home in Rector, Arkansas, under hospice care. She was born on April 7, 1951, in Detroit, Michigan, and was the daughter of the late James D. "Jim Jordan and Joy Sue Helton Jordan. On June 2, 1973, she was united in marriage to Jerome Meade. Vicky worked at Brown Shoe Company and Ariel Bouquets in Piggott, Arkansas, for many years. She is survived by her husband, Jerome Meade of the home and sisters-in-love: Betty Robinson, Dyrma Sanders, Geraldine Crawford, and Fleta Mooney; and many other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Piggott Cemetery with Chris Brantley officiating. Pallbearers are Carlos Crittenden, Ricky Meade, John Cavaness, and Daniel Gossett. Honorary pallbearers are Van Taylor, John Crittenden, Monte Sanders, and Donnie Cavaness. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to be made to the First General Baptist Church Food Pantry in Piggott, Arkansas or Legacy Hospice in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas.
