Virginia Marie Bedwell, 94, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2024. She was born on April 19, 1930 in Rector, Arkansas and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Virginia was the beloved wife of James David Bedwell, who preceded her in death, and the proud mother of eight children: four sons and four daughters.

Virginia was a devout Christian whose life was a testament to her faith, love, and selflessness. She found strength and joy in caring for her family, and her nurturing spirit touched all who knew her. Throughout her 94 years, she showed unwavering love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, James, and three of her children: son Jerry Bedwell; two daughters Janice Gott and Jeanette Alstadt. She is survived by her three sons, Jim, Johnny, and Joel and two daughters; Janie and Judy, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will cherish her memory and the legacy of love and faith she leaves behind.

A funeral service to celebrate Virginia's life will be held at Hoggard Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas on Wednesday,  November 27, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. Burial is in Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Arkansas. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is from 11:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor Virginia's memory and the incredible impact she had on all who knew her.

Virginia's love and faith will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
