Wavie Lee Phillips, Sr., 72, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2010, at his home in Piggott. He was born April 21, 1938, in East Hartford, Kentucky, and was the son of the late Archie Dello and Pauline Elizabeth Poole Phillips. He was united to marriage to Betty Reed in 1966. Survivors include his wife, Betty Phillips of Piggott; two daughters: Kim Phillips of Indiana and Felicia Phillips of Kentucky; three sons: Wavie Lee Phillips, Jr. of Piggott, Dennis Phillips of Pollard, and Lenny Phillips of Pollard; eight grandchildren: Tabatha Estes, Michael Coon, Alyssa Gomer, Katrina Snyder, Daisha Kunce, Dennis Phillips, Freddie Phillips, and Morgan Phillips; sixteen great grandchildren: Lacie and Jack Terry, Hannah, James, Devin, and Jerrett Coon, Sabra, Tru, Raiden, and Serentiy Gomer, Alivia and Natalie Horn, Alexus, Leland, and Alex Sandefur, and Ceslie Kunce; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 21, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. in Hoggard & Sons Chapel with Jay Masterson officiating. Burial is in New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Keith Thrasher, Steven Graves, Paul Hovis, Thomas West, Erick Reed, and Juane Tinsley. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements.
