Weldon Mobley, 78, of Rector, Arkansas, passed away September 23, 2018, at his home in Rector. He was born on January 14, 1940, in Boydsville, Arkansas and was the son of Dalton Boyd and Eirdress (Morgan) Mobley. Weldon was united in marriage to Brenda Morris on November 6, 1984. He was preceded in death by his father, Dalton Boyd; mother, Eirdress Lawanda Boyd; stepson, Jake Forrest; daughter, Shelia Cook Taylor; and brother, Larry Mobley. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Mobley of Rector, Arkansas; son, Nelson (Thess) Mobley of Rector, Arkansas; daughter, Sherri (Mark) Burris of Piggott, Arkansas; stepson, Jason (Kerri) Burkman of Arkadelphia, Arkansas; granddaughter, Jennifer Mobley, grandchildren: Cody Burris, Sierra Burris, Blake Burkman, Josh Cook, Baylor Burkman, Brielle Burkman, Dillon Mobley Deacon Mobley, and Matthew Burkman; two great grandchildren: Zachary Faulkner and William Burris; brother, Jim (Janet) Mobley of Blue Springs, Missouri; sisters, Betty Haley of Piggott, Arkansas, Judy Neeley of Forrest City, Arkansas, Carla (Hal) French of Piggott, Arkansas, and Janette (Stephen) Duncan of Rector, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Betty Mobley of Batesville, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held Thursday, September 27, 2018, at 2:00 pm at the Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas, with Harold McMickle officiating. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the cremation and memorial arrangements.
