William C. (Bill) Billings, 80, native of Piggott, Arkansas, since November 1993, formerly of Rockford, Illinois, going there at age 9.

Bill was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas, on June 7, 1942, and he passed away September 6, 2022, at his home in Piggott, Arkansas.

He was a retired Master Plumber and owner of Billings Plumbing Service in Rockford, Illinois for many years. He retired from Rockford Board of Education in 1991. William loved totally remolding homes, which he and his wife did 18 homes and sold.

He loved fishing, boating, and camping in earlier years before becoming ill in September 2013.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Montana on July 23, 2008; a special son-in-law, John W. Montana in March 29, 2001; parents, M.C. Billings and Thelma Parks-Billings; six brothers: Ray, Benny, Max, Sherman, Kenneth, and Charles Glen; five sisters, Gladys Moser, Ruby Word, Bernice Marzock, Sletta Clock, and Beatrice Zavic.

Survivors include his wife, Katie Betty Barker-Billings of the home; grandson, Michael Montana and Kendra of Corning, Arkansas; granddaughter, Samantha A. Montana Yager and husband Matthew of Piggott, Arkansas;two great-granddaughters, Madison Paige Montana of Corning, Arkansas, and Paisley Ann Yager of Piggott, Arkansas; sister, Jane Moore of Longview, Texas; and special friends, Vernon and Betty Noles; and church family at First Christian Church in Piggott, Arkansas; many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 8, 2022 from 4:00 p.m until 6:00 p.m. with a memorial service immediately following at 6:00 p.m. at Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, Arkansas, with Kevin Murray officiating. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements.
