William Clyde "JR" Ross, Jr., 68, of Pollard, Arkansas, passed away April 18, 2018, at the St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born on July 31, 1949, in Blytheville, Arkansas, and was the son of the late William Clyde and Emma Alice Stephen Ross. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson: Lucas Owen Butler; three brothers: Wesley Fletcher, Monroe Glover, Jr., and David Glover; three sisters: Francis Ivy, Alice Reeves, and Inez Hill. JR was a truck driver for many years and enjoyed raising and riding horses. He also loved his dogs just like his family. JR could be found every afternoon drinking coffee and visiting with his friends at the local restaurant. He is survived by his daughters: Samantha (Brandon) Butler and Jessica Ross both of Pocahontas; four grandchildren: Karsynn and Emalynn Butler, Kinley Ross, and Cameron Crawford; companion: Jean Ann Hooten of the home; two sisters: Grace Jones of Wilmington, Illinois, and Lela Dishmon of Tuscan, Arizona; and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Saturday, April 21, 2018, at 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the Hoggard & Sons Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rondal Richardson officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements.
