William Rex Russell, 74, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away June 16, 2026.

He was born on February 4, 1952, in Piggott, Arkansas, and was the son of the late Charles Dennison "Kit" and Lola (Vaughn) Brandon.

Rex served in the United States Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dillon Russell; sister, Delilah Thomas.

William is survived by his son, Tommy Russell (Daniel Thomasson) of Jonesboro, Arkansas; niece, Selina McKlintic of Piggott, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends.

The family will have a memorial service at Gravel Hill Cemetery in St. Francis, Arkansas, at a later date. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements.
