Wilma Umillia Phillips Allen, 93, of Halls, Tennessee, formerly of Pollard, Arkansas, passed away December 31, 2018, in Halls, Tennessee.
She was born on February 20, 1925, in Boydsville, Arkansas, and was the daughter of the late Odis and Georgia (Bradberry) Phillips.
Wilma was united in marriage to Eugene King Allen on June 1, 1941.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene King Allen; infant son, David Allen; daughter, Emily Louise Allen Hopkins; brother, Rex Phillips; and sister, Joyce Locke.
Survivors include her two granddaughters, Belinda (Ed) Presley of Dyersburg, Tennessee, and Melinda (Jerry) Olds of Halls, Tennessee; grandson, David Clifton Hopkins of Halls, Tennessee; great-granddaughter, Heather Davis of Ripley, Tennessee, great-grandson, James Hilliard of Halls, Tennessee, great-grandson, Nathan Olds, great-grandson, Grant Hilliard of Ripley, Tennessee; great-great grandson, Arlo Bishop of Ripley, Tennessee; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 7, 2019, at 1:00 pm at the Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas, with Bro. Loy Culver officiating and Bro. Charles Carrens assisting. Burial is in New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Nathan Olds, Grant Hilliard, James Hilliard, David Hatcher, Alex Hatcher, and Nick Hatcher. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Latta and Steve Baker. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Monday from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas.
