Winona Ruth Baker, 81, of Pollard, Arkansas, passed away December 3, 2018, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
She was born on May 28, 1937, in Zalma, Missouri and was the daughter of Noah Hale and Selice (Inman) Hale Ray.
Winona was united in marriage to Grover Cleveland Baker, Jr. on October 14, 1953.
She was preceded in death by her father, Noah Hale; mother, Selice Hale Ray; husband, Grover Baker; sisters, Conneli Drew, Betty Clark and Yuanita McCall; and brother, Noah Hale, Jr.
Survivors include her sons, Grover Cleve Baker, III and wife Marcia of Paragould, AR, Brion Baker of Ash Flat, Arkansas, Steven Baker and wife Mitzi of Pollard, AR, Gregory Baker and wife Lisa of Columbia, Missouri; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Yvonne (Laddie) Hickson and Thelma (Sonny) Kimbrough; brother, Jacky (Donna) Hale; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 6, 2018, at 11:00 am at the Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas, with Matthew Collier and Loy Culver officiating. Burial is in New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Cary Wilson, Dave Harrison, Richie Culver, Cody Culver, Wayne Hendley, and Marty Conley. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Wednesday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas.
